STORYTIME ADVENTURES:
SOLAR SPECTACULAR! Monday, April 8th / 1 - 3 pm The Columbia County Traveling Library invites you to the Farm for “Storytime Adventures: Solar Spectacular” Join us for a solar eclipse event with stories, activities, photo ops & flashlight fun. This is a free event with free solar eclipse glasses! No registration is needed. The Farm Market will be open. |
RAIN BARREL WORKSHOP
Wednesday, April 17th / 6-7:30 pm Columbia County Conservation District is partnering with Rohrbach’s Farm to host a rain barrel workshop. Join us to learn about the negative impacts of excessive stormwater runoff from our backyards on local streams, and, ultimately, the Chesapeake Bay. Through a hands-on demonstration learn how to minimize runoff in your own yard, and combat pollution. Paid attendees will receive & learn how to assemble their own rain barrels to take home. One rain barrel per family/ household. Guests who do not want a rain barrel are welcome to attend without registering. The barrels are large, so plan enough vehicle space to take them home. This event is already full, but you are welcome to attend to learn. |
OPENING WEEKEND!
Friday, April 19th & Saturday, April 20th 10 am - 7 pm After a much needed season of rest and preparation, we're back for the 2024 Season and we missed you! Our Farm Market, Bakery, Gift Shop, Big Dan's BBQ and Freas Farm Winery will all be open. The Village Donut will be on-site on Saturday beginning at 9 am (until they run out). |
FREE OUTDOOR CONCERT: "DRIVE"
Friday, April 26th / 5 - 7 pm Join us as we open for the season with a fun, free, family friendly concert with local band “Drive.” “Drive” plays your favorites from the 70s, 80s and 90s. While you’re here, grab your Big Dan’s BBQ & stop by Freas Farm Winery serving their PA Preferred wines, hard cider and Turkey Hill Brewing Company beer, on tap. Alcohol from outside sources is not permitted. Snack on local treats, bakery items or hand dipped ice cream too. Bring your own lawn chairs & blankets or we also have plenty of picnic tables and yard space to hang out! |
TODDLER TIME @ THE FARM
Every Friday / 10 am - 12 pm Beginning on April 26th, Toddler Time is back! . Each week will consist of exciting new stories, educational crafts to help build fine motor skills, then ends with a 30-minute music & movement section to shake all those sillies out. $1/ toddler; adult supervision required. Will be held in the Barn Loft. No registration needed. Recommended for all Pre-K ages. |
PLANT & TAKE: STRAWBERRIES
Saturday, April 28th / 10 am & 11 am Our Orchard Manager Adam Orlando will share an overview of different types of strawberries with an emphasis on Day Neutral Strawberries. You will plant & take home a strawberry planter full of day neutral strawberry plants. You will learn how to care for them to foster growth all through the summer. First planter is $17, add a second planter for only $5! This class will be approximately 30 minutes from start to finish. All supplies are included in the workshop. Click here to register. |

Sunday, April 28th / 1-3 pm Join us for an afternoon of fellowship and delicious food in the loft at Rohrbach's. Catered by "Catering for You." You'll hear from Denise Bosworth owner of Rohrbach's about the new non-profit Seeds of the Future. GROWN-UP & ME COOKIE DECORATING
Friday, May 10th / 5 pm Saturday, May 11th / 4 pm “Thank You For Helping Me Grow!” Kids, bring a grown up to our Mothers Day Cookie Decorating Class! All supplies are included as well as instruction from Debbie Semmel from Cecco’s Cookies. This set of cookies features four cookies. The seed packet is a shaker with sprinkles inside. It also features a pot with a seed. A watering can and then a pot with a sprout (after the seed is watered!) Each set of attendees will decorate and take home one set of cookies. CELEBRATE MOTHERS DAY @ THE FARM

MOTHERS DAY COW ENCOUNTER HAYRIDES
Saturday, May 11th / 10am, 11am & 1 pm Treat Mom to a special Mothers Day Cow Encounter Hayride. We will drive her (& you) straight into our pasture where you will quickly be surrounded by our herd of Angus and Red Devon cattle. Hand feed them ears of corn (and be amazed at how quickly they eat them). You will also be able to ask questions. Bonus - it's calving season! There are sure to be lots of new babies in the herd. There will be three hayrides offered: 10 am, 11 am & 1 pm. (10 am & 11 am are now sold out) Ticket prices are $17 for ages 13 & up, $10 for ages 3 to 12. One free ticket for a child 2 & under with each paid adult ticket. Each additional child 2 & under will be $10. GOURD PLANTER WORKSHOP
Friday, May 17th / 5 & 5:30 pm Saturday, May 18th / 10 & 10:30 am Join Kay and Denise for a gourd planter workshop! You will choose your dried gourd, grown right here on our farm. We will show you the process of cleaning and then we will cut them for you to create a summer planter. You will be able to choose sun or shade flowers.
