Our Kids Summer Workshops offer fun, educational and affordable opportunities for kids & their families to get outside! Beginning on June 13th, we will be hosting informative & affordable Kids Summer Workshops every Thursday. With topics ranging from Agriculture, our Orchard fruits, kangaroos, therapy animals. You'll even get to meet some furry friends! You'll find something every week.
Our kids workshops are designed for kids to be outside, interacting & playing while learning. Each workshop has two times each week for your convenience, at 10 & 11 am. These workshops are ideal for kids, ages 3-10, with adult supervision. The cost is $1 per child, no registration is needed.
We invite you to hang around after the workshops. Grab some lunch in our deli or at Big Dan’s BBQ and enjoy the outside at our picnic tables and in our Kids Garden (which has fun new features this season). Questions? call (570) 356-2597 or email [email protected]

Kick-Off / Agriculture
June 13th Stop anytime between 10:00 am & Noon to explore different Agriculture stations. The Bloomsburg Children's Museum will be here with soil health activities, the PA Farm Bureau Mobile Ag Lab will be open with activities to explore. Come & meet Local Representative Robert Leadbetter & learn how he is advocating in Harrisburg for our local farms. It will take approximately one hour to experience all of the stations, so plan to arrive by 11 at the latest. |

Join our Orchard Manager, Adam Orlando, for this exciting workshop on raspberries & donut peaches! Take a trip into the orchard to learn about the Raspberries & donut peaches we grow at the farm and how we care for them all year long. While you’re there, pick your own nectarines. we will provide a bag for you to fill for $5. Please note this workshop involves a lot of walking.

Join Abby Frey from the Columbia County Conservation District and learn about water quality, stream ecology and the aquatic food web through hands-on activities and live critters! Kids will get to observed and maybe even touch live macroinvertebrates, plus learn about how integral they are to the aquatic food web and overall stream health.

We will take a trip into the orchard to learn about what type of apples we grow on the farm, how we take care of the apple trees & when it is best to harvest delicious apples.

Join Adelaide and Grant Chapin as they explore how to incorporate delicious whole foods into your diet! Adelaide will discuss the legislative work she's participating in. Have fun sampling local regenerative popcorn grown locally by 12-year-old farmer Grant and learn about how he grows his popcorn!
