Who Are We?
A 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization founded by Rohrbach's Farm.  It's our mission to provide farm & agricultural-based learning & social experiences that are accessible, affordable & relevant.  Each experience should equip & enrich individuals as well as our greater community.
Our Goals for 2025...
  1. To host seven social / learning experiences for Special Needs & Abilities Guests, ages 12 & over
  2. Reach 5,000 students with agriculture related education (in collaboration with Rohrbachs' Farm & partners)
  3. Create a Community Pollinator garden
  4. Create & install educational plaques throughout the Pollinator Garden
A Special Thank You!
PictureColumbia Montour Vo-Tech 10th Grade Horticulture Students.
To help us with our 2024 goal of creating a wheelchair accessible Children's Garden, 10th Grade students from Columbia Montour Vo-Tech  built and stained two wheelchair accessible raised beds.  These Horticulture students also planned and planted the raised beds with sensory friendly plants (sight, taste, touch and smell!).

We would also like to thank the following organizations & individuals for their part in this project:
  • Lewisburg Builders Supply and Arthur Griffin for helping design the raised beds and provide quality supplies!
  • Berlin's Greenhouses for donating sensory friendly plants.
  • Roy Benson and Ron Yarnell who worked behind the scenes to prepare the raised beds and guide the students through building them.
  • Renee Noll, the Horticulture teacher who brought her students to our farm and supported them in this hands-on project.
The project was made possible through grant funds provided by Charles B. Degenstein Foundation, donations and volunteers.

Why Did We Start "Seeds of the Future?"
Picture
Over the past several years, Rohrbach's Farm has become a gathering place for families & their children. Through fun & affordable events, we have helped thousands of people encounter agriculture in a very tangible & real way.  In 2023, we had 2,199 children visit our farm through school trips, day camp field trips, summer workshops, Agriculture Camp, events & more.  This number doesn't include secondary attendees such as teachers, parents & caregivers.

It has been our passion to educate the community on agriculture & the value of it in our community, country & the world at large.  This non-profit allows us to better focus that passion & create more opportunities to engage our community.  We desire to connect children & youth with their local farm & make life long healthy food choices.

We Have A Special Place for our Special Needs Friends
Picture
Our Special Needs & All Abilities friends have always been very welcome at our Farm.  Over the years, we have hosted several events just for them, such as Friendsgiving, Cooking Classes, a fun & free night just for them & their families in our Fall Playland!  In 2025, thanks to a generous donation from Matilda's Heart, Seeds Of The Future has several events planned. Click here to view and print the flyer.

We have several "Special Friends" gatherings throughout the year! These gatherings are designed for our special needs & all abilities friends who are 12 years old and older.   They are designed to be opportunities for social connections while having fun. There will be good food as well as meaningful and hands-on activities! Guests can be checked in or caregivers and guardians are welcome to stay!   We will publish these events on this page, as well as on our facebook page.  Click here for a flyer with all of the events!
